After our time in Lexington, it was time to say goodbye to Kentucky and say hello to North Carolina. We spent a whole day driving, we made a couple of stops a long the way to help break up the long hours of driving. My favorite stop of today was our lunch break. We stopped in the tiny town of Corbin, Kentucky, by the looks of what we saw around us, we had pretty low expectations for lunch. But boy were we wrong ...
Stepping into the Seasons restaurant is like being transported to a magical place, very similar to stepping through a wardrobe and ending up in Narnia. Every room was completely different and was filled to the brim with interesting treasures.
Since our group was so large, we were all scattered at tables in all a couple of different rooms, Mom, Dad and I were lucky enough to snag a table in the enchanting Christmas room.
The autumn/ Thanksgiving room was extravagantly elegant
We made a few more stops on our long drive then reached the Inn on Biltmore Estate in time for dinner in their main dinning room. It was one of the fanciest dinners I have ever attended. It was the perfect welcome meal to set the tone for our magnificent stay on the Biltmore Estate.
