I look forward to going to the Christkindlmarket at This is the Place Heritage Park every year. Mom and I love to go together and we always have the best time
We started our afternoon of fun getting lunch. We perused all the fun food stalls and decided on hot dogs and bratwursts from Das Cafe.
After we were fueled up we were ready to hit the shops!
The Bloominsales stall is always one of our favorites.
I love winter floral bouquets, especially ones that incorporate pine.
Mom loved this guy's suit and needed a picture of it.
These were all hand painted, and some were even real eggs.
These coca bombs looked delicious, when I noticed they had caramel apple cider bombs, I needed them! I enjoyed them on a cold snowy day and they were so delicious, super flavorful.
We were super impressed by the Heirloom Kitchen Co. stall. They designed it to look like a cozy and inviting living room, complete with a fireplace.
This year we stumbled upon an aebleskiver stall we hadn't seen in past years. We both love aebleskivers so we could an order to share. They were warm, covered in cinnamon sugar and filled with decant cream. They were heavenly.
By the time we reached the top, the twinkle lights had turned on and the sun was beginning to set. We have determined the best time to go is in the late afternoon, so we get to each lunch and do most of our shopping during the day when it's the warmest, and we get to see the sunset and all the fun lights at night. We are also done and leaving right as the market starts to get super busy and crowded.
Had to pop into my favorite pirate tent. It was a little different this year, but still had lots of magical things for sale.
The Gingerbread Cottage is a mandatory stop for us. Their cookies are the best, they are so soft and flavorful, and are always decorated so cute. We also like to pick up one or two of their gingerbread cookie mixes, it makes the best gingerbread cookies.
The sunset was gorgeous this year.
The market is so charming at night with all the magical twinkle lights.
These were some of the goodies we brought home, we were mostly about the treats this year.
