The entire reason for this magical, family getaway to Disney World was John getting into, and participating in NafMe's music conference. John was able to be with the family in the parks for the first couple of days of our vacation, but he spent the rest of the time attending classes and workshops and preparing for an end of the week concert held at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort.
The whole family arrived to hear and support John in is final concert. The Coronado Springs Resort looked so beautiful all decorated for Christmas.
National Association for Music Education (NAfME), among the world’s largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. Since 1907, NAfME has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers. NAfME’s activities and resources have been largely responsible for the establishment of music education as a profession, for the promotion and guidance of music study as an integral part of the school curriculum, and for the development of the National Standards for Arts Education.
John performed with the All-National Concert Band and they played 4 phenomenal pieces.
John did an amazing job! He has put so much time and effort into his music, he practices for hours each day, signs up and auditions for as many music conferences as he can, and he has traveled the world participating in different musical organizations. His dedication to his music is inspiring and I am so proud of him.
John loved his conductor and learned so much from him.
After the concert we grabbed lunch at the hotel before heading to the airport to fly home.
Giving out goodbye hugs at the airport. The cousins all had such a great time together as did all the adults. I am so grateful for a family who loves to spend time together, we always have so much fun!
