During our time in Taos, we had the pleasure of staying at El Monte Sagrado, a beautiful oasis of a resort.
Our rooms were so spacious and comfortable, complete with working fireplaces, jetted tubs, balconies and views of the sprawling grounds.
One afternoon I was exploring the gorgeous nature of the grounds and I bumped into dad on his balcony and he joined me on my adventure. Mom was taking a luxurious, afternoon nap.
These are the resort's Global Suites. Each suite is themed after a different country, some include Japan, Spain, Marrakech, Argentina, and Morocco. Each suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and some even have private hot tubes. We looked up what they looked like online and they are so beautiful, I think I would choose the Marrakech or Morocco ones.
In harmonious coexistence with its natural setting, El Monte Sagrado is surrounded by towering mountains and rustic high desert, sunlit, fish-filled streams, tropical flora and the sounds of calming waterfalls.
This is their living spa, which sounded amazing. If I had had more time, I would have loved to of experienced this one of a kind spa.
We stayed in the Mountain Rooms, which are in four different buildings around the property. Each night we would walk from our building to the main building for dinner in the De La Tierra dinning room.
De La Tierra is located next to the Anaconda Bar which was surrounded by a giant snake, it was visually stunning.
Our meals here were divine. One night I ordered a starter of ricotta cheese, honey and olive oil served with crusty bread, it was heavenly.
We would also eat here for breakfast, they served a wonderful buffet complete with giant, fluffy cinnamon rolls.
One night, after dinner, we explored the main building and discovered this stunning piano room!
We also peeked inside a couple of their event rooms which were equally as beautiful.
