We had the most amazing fall this year! The colors were magnificent and stayed around for months. In late September we took a relaxing fall drive through the Alpine loop and made a couple of stops at our favorite photo areas to capture the autumn colors.
Our first stop was at a campsite that is just off the road that leads to Tibble Fork Reservoir. It always has so many colors and the trails are covered in leaves. It's also right next to the river which makes for beautiful photos and a fun place for the kids to play, they love throwing rocks into the water.
V had fun creating a gorgeous fall time bouquet.
V gifted me her amazing bouquet and I felt so honored she would give me such a thoughtful gift.
After our first stop, we loaded back up into the car and continued up the canyon. The views were stunning.
Our next favorite place to stop is about half way through the drive, there is a little pull out on one of the curves that has a little trail the leads to the most breathtaking views of the mountain.
V wanted to have a little photo shoot in these cool ferns since they matched her outfit.
Our fun fall adventure ended at Sundance, where we had a reservation for dinner at the fabulous
Foundry Grill.
We arrived a little bit before our reservation to give the kids some time to run around, play, and climb since we had spent such a long time in the car. Sundance is the most gorgeous playground.
Mimi always has such fun surprises in her purse to entertain the kiddos at the table, she is a real life Mary Poppins.
We ordered the burrata and grilled peaches for an appetizer, it was so good.
We got a pizza and macaroni and cheese for the kids, even though I think the adults ended up eating more of that mac and cheese than the kids did, it was divine. V said the pizza was the best pizza in the world, which is extremely high praise coming from such a picky eater.
