We extended our trip one day after the tour, so we woke up with a free day in Nashville! We decided to check out the Frothy Monkey for breakfast. We had walked passed this restaurant every time we went from our hotel to broadway, and we were intrigued. Apparently it's a place all the locals love to grab breakfast before work, it was packed! The food was super good so I can see why it is so popular.
Then we dropped mom off at the hotel so she could spend the day relaxing and enjoying our gorgeous hotel then dad and I set off to go spend some more time on Broadway. We did a little shopping and stopped in to see a few performers playing in different venues.
We decided to visit the Johnny Cash museum, it's locate right off broadway. It's a somewhat smaller museum but it packed full of amazing Cash artifacts and is beautiful curated. We spent a long time going through all of the displays, Mr. Cash was definitely a very fascinating man.
I had just bought a ring that looks exactly like these ones a few days earlier in North Carolina!
Kate!
This display was one of my favorites in the whole museum. It was about the different sound quality of all the different modes of audio recordings. Visitors can listen to the same track on everything from a track cassettes to ipods, it was so interesting! And now I totally understand why records are coming back into style, their sound quality is by far the best.
The museum ended with with a display about Johnny's cover of the Nine Inch Nails song, Hurt. I was super into that song when I was a freshman in college, so I loved learning more about it.
