Our day at Future World in EPCOT, started off with some pretty heavy mist, it was kind of cool to see Spaceship Earth slowly emerge from the clouds as we entered the park. It was only a matter of time before the mist cleared and we had clear, blue skies for the rest of the day.
We got an awesome group shot of the family this morning, that my parents used as their Christmas card that year.
A few of us made a quick stop to the Starbucks by the entrance of the park to grab some breakfast, and I was delighted to see there were still some of the super cute 35th anniversary cupcakes for sale. I had done some research to see if these sparkly treats would still be available when we were there and all the sources said no, so it was such a happy surprise!
The surprises continued when we discovered there was a fruity filling in the middle!
The kids were excited to stop into Club Cool, to get some free samples of sodas from around the world.
There is one soda, Beverly from Italy, that is disgusting. I made all the kids get a sample of it and try it all at the same time so I could capture their faces hahaha
But they liked all the other sodas.
Cheers!
Next we headed to the Test Track. We had paired the whole family up in teams and Ben and I were together. When we were designing our car, somehow we had programmed it to be in Chinese so we had no idea what kind of car we were building, but we just went with it haha
That bright blue sky is such a contrast to the grey mist we started our day with.
Next, we headed over to The Land Pavilion to use our fast passes for Living with the Land and Soarin' over the World. Most of the family hadn't seen the new Soarin' and I was so excited to see what they thought!
Then it was time to grab a little lunch at Sunshine Seasons, the food here is always so fresh and delicious.
The kids love doing all the silly filters on snapchat.
After lunch, we checked out The Sea Pavilion.
I always make sure to visit the manatees, they are always so adorable, munching on their floating salad.
Then we headed to Journey into Imagination. There are so many people out there that have fond, nostalgic, memories of this ride, but I had no recollection of this ride or the famous little dragon at all. So riding it for the first time as an adult was probably a different experience ...
Now I feel so cool that I understand references to Figment!
There was someone writing love letters in the sky. We stopped and watched the letters slowly appear, and had fun trying to guess what they were trying to spell.
Snack time!
Then it was time to head back to our hotel for a nap, James was getting a head start in his stroller.
