Mickey Mouse Pancakes

Our second day in Disney began with Mickey Mouse pancakes, which are now served at the Red Rose Tavern instead of the River Bell Terrace. When we would come to Disney as kids, this was one thing my mom always loved to get, so I have so many happy memories of these adorable pancakes.

We also got a few savory items to share, we hadn't ever had breakfast at the Red Rose Tavern before, so we were intrigued by some of their menu items.

After breakfast, we spent the rest of the morning playing around in Fantasyland. King Arther's Carousel is always a big hit with Vienne.

We took a little peek inside the Bippity Boppity Boutique since none of us had actually ever seen the inside. V isn't quite old enough to get a princess make over yet, but when she is, Bethy is excited to treat her to a day at the boutique!

The sparkly rose gold churro was one of the limited edition treats around the park so we had to get one to try! It looked beautiful, but it didn't taste as beautiful ...

Small World is one of Vienne's favorite rides, it's so fun to sit next to her and watch her get excited about all the fun things she is seeing as we float by.

We had a lovely and relaxing lunch at the Blue Bayou. I always love eating here, it's so magical and it's the perfect place to have a quiet, calm, and relaxing lunch in the middle of a busy Disney day.

After lunch, we popped over to California Adventure for a little while so that we could check out the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride the took the place of the Tower of Terror. When Disney first announced they were making this change, I was super bummed because I loved the theming of the Tower of Terror with all it's 1920s vibes. So I was prepared to be disappointed in the new guardians ride because it couldn't be as cool as the tower of terror. However, I should have had more faith in Disney's capabilities, the new ride is SO MUCH FUN! I actually like it better than the Tower of Terror which feels blasphemous to say, but it's true.

The main entrance is unrecognizable and has been converted to The Collectors gallery.

The office room, where Rocket fills you in on his plan to help save the other guardians, is full of fascinating specimens, which is my kind of thing.

Fun fact, the old yeti named Harold, that used to be in the Matterhorn ride, is tucked in amongst The Collectors items, it's always fun to keep an eye for him while in line.

I got some fun one on one time with Vienne while Beth took Reece on Guardians. We had a fun time in Bugs land riding the bumper cars and little roller coasters. This is probably the last time I will see Bugs Land as it is being converted into a Marvel superhero land, Disney is making so many big changes around the parks, it's exciting!

On our way out of the park, we stoped by Trolley Treats to grab some yummies to take back to the hotel to enjoy during nap time. There were several limited edition valentine treats I wanted to try. The Red Rose cake pops were my favorite. They are chocolate cake with a fruity, sour straw wrapped around it. The combination of rich chocolatey goodness with a hint of sour fruitiness is perfection.

Then we headed back to our hotel to take naps and rest up for a fun filled evening in the parks.

We headed back into the parks in the early evening and we were lucky enough to run into Snow White in the Main Street theater. People must not have known she was in there because there was no line and we had her to ourselves for a long time. Snow and Vienne had a nice long chat.

Then we were lucky again since Minnie had arrived on Main Street just as we were leaving the theater. V had been dressed up at Minnie all day, so we couldn't resist a meet and greet, it was so adorable.

As we walked down Main Street, we spent a lot of time leisurely wandering in and out of all the stores, looking at all the new, fun merchandise. There were quite a few new Mickey and Minnie ears that we had fun trying on.

There are these new ears were the bow is interchangeable and they have bows for each princess! Such a genius idea! I'm not super into collecting or wearing ears to the park, but if I was, I would definitely be getting these, they are all so pretty!

That night, we went to see World of Color, I absolutely love this show! There was a cute little reshow that was special for the Lunar New Year celebrations, it featured Mulan and Mushu .

V was one tuckered out Minnie Mouse by the time we headed home. That's when you know you have had a good, fun day at Disney.
