Princess Day in Disney

Our third day in Disney was dedicated to all things princess. Vienne dressed up as Cinderella and was just as adorable as could be.

We started the day off with breakfast at my all time favorite eatery in all of Disneyland, Jolly Holiday. No trip to Disney is complete for me without at least one trip to Jolly Holiday. This little bakery is home to the best Disney treats, namely the Raspberry Rose Mickey macaron. I need to have at least one, if not more of these macarons each time I visit Disney, it is made with real, fresh, whole raspberries that are the perfect compliment to the rosy sweetness of the rest of the cookie.

My second favorite treat to get at Jolly Holiday is the Matterhorn Macaroons. They are so adorably shaped like the Matterhorn mountain and topped with white chocolate snow. They are soft, chewy, and dreamy.

This time around I also tried our the black forest mini bundt cake. It was pretty delicious, but I don't think it makes the "must have" list. (Even though it is labeled so on the photo...)

After our delightfully sweet breakfast, (I also got real, savory, substantial food, not just treats) we headed over to the fantasy faire to meet and greet some princesses!

We got to meet snow white, cinderella, and Ariel. V was a little shy during our conversations, but after we left she was dancing and singing with joy, she loves her princesses.

Our princesse theme continued into lunch as we had the Frozen meal at Carthay Circle. With this special dining package, we got amazing seats to the Frozen musical at the Hyperion Theater without having to wait in the long line outside.

We began our meal with Abelskievers with fresh lingonberry jam which went well with my refreshing rose soda.

Next, we enjoyed a savory, caribbean style shrimp broth with avocado mousse and a winter red and white endive salad.

I forgot to photograph my main course but for dessert we got these charming Olaf desserts. I loved doing this dinner package, the meal was amazing, I always love eating at the wonderful Carthay Circle, and we were able to get front row seats to the show with our passes.

Right next to the Hyperion theater was a face painting station, so V got some face paint to match her blue Cinderella dress. She was over the moon when she saw how pretty it was, she kept asking me and Beth to take pictures of her, which she never asks for!

Then we headed over to Disneyland to fit in a few late night rides and try out the mardi gras beignets from the Mint Julep.

February is such a great time to visit Disney since the weather is amazing and they are celebrating The Lunar New Year, Valentines Day and Mardi Gras all at the same time!!

We ended the night by each getting a fortune from Esmerlda, who sits at the entrance of the Crystal Arcade. I have passed by her so many times, but hadn't ever gotten a fortune from her!

V's blissful face in this last picture perfectly captures how we all felt at the end of another magical day in Disney.
