On our first day in the Grand Tetons, we took a boat excursion around the lake and got some breath taking views of the mountains. We took a bus from the lodge to Colter Bay Marina were we boarded our boat.
These two adorable kids...
I love reading boat names
We happened upon a young deer going for a little swim in the lake, I hadn't ever seen a deer swim before!
The boat ride was very relaxing, especially when sitting in the warm sun. Some of our party decided to take a little snooze.
A couple of days later, we took a float trip down the Snake River.
The Madisons and Burtons were in one raft, and the Griffins and I, along with another family from our tour, were in another raft.
Our river guide kept his eye out for wild life and would point things out to us as well as tell us some history and interesting facts about the area.
Our float down the river was very gentle, no crazy rapids or waves, it was heaven. The weather was perfect and the sound of the water gently lapping against the raft was so soothing, I would have been happy to float all day long. I love being out on any kind of water.
We saw a couple of bald eagles on our trip down the river!
After our wonderful float trip, we took a drive to see the Tetons from land.
We even made a stop at the well known T. A. Moulton Barn. I have always wanted to see this barn in person, so I was super excited about this little photo stop!
Dad getting that perfect shot.
These two cuties are BEST FRIENDS, they were basically inseparable the entire trip. It is so much fun watching all the cousins hang out together and become such good friends.
