Galaxy's Edge

All of us were so excited to check out Galaxy's Edge for the very first time! It had only been open for about 4 months and we had heard so much about it.

The famous milk stand, this is one of the things I had heard the most about. Here you can get either blue or green milk, beverages from the Star Wars movies. We made sure to get one of each to try later on when we visited again at night.

We had heard that Oga's Cantina was one of the best parts of Galaxy's Edge, and that it could be hard to get a reservation because it is so popular. We were able to get a reservation for breakfast, so we started our day off with fancy space drinks and a one of a kind cinnamon roll.

Inside the cantina is pretty amazing, we definitely felt like we had been transported to a galaxy far far away.

This is the only place in the entire Disneyland park where alcohol is served (well besides Club 33), which I think is interesting. They also have non alcoholic drinks which is what we got.

We got two Carbon Freezes and three Jabba Juices. The Carbon Freezes used to be served with dry ice which would make them smoke, I was excited to see this effect in person. But when our drinks arrived smokeless, we were told they had to stop serving it that way due to safety hazards.

The Mustafarian Lava Roll is only available during breakfast. It is a croissant mixed with a cinnamon roll, topped with oreo crumbs and "lava" icing. The crispy, crunchy texture was delicious, but I felt like overall, it lacked flavor. But it was fun to try, and definitely looks impressive.

We were so excited we were able to get a booth, there are only a handful of them in the whole cantina. We did have to share it with another party, which was fine, they are nice and big. The standing tables would have been hard to little V.

After breakfast, it was time to ride the new Millennium Falcon ride, Smuggler's Run!

The queue area is very detailed.

When we were handed our tokens, I was so excited to see that I got to be a pilot!

Bethy was my co-pilot.

Karin was our engineer

Ready to fly us into hyper-drive!

We learned that V is very good at taking group pictures!

The shops are pretty awesome to look through. The merchandise in Galaxy's Edge is crazy expensive! But it is super fun to window shop.

Lot of different kinds of light sabers for sale.

The market place was another part of this land I was super excited to check out, all the pictures I had seen online looked really cool.

We were all very drawn to the alien pet shop, it had plushies of all the animals from pretty much all of the Star Wars movies.

And this is where V found and fell in love with Morty.

Morty is a Porg puppet that can flap her weeks and open her mouth, she also makes porg noises. As mentioned in my last post, Morty became one of the girls for the rest of the trip.

We made sure to check out the little water monster that pops up by the drinking fountain.

A little later in our trip, we made our way back to Galaxy's Edge to check it out at night, when it is all lit up. I thought it looked a lot cooler at night.

We met one of Morty's Porg friends who was just walking around the park, talking to all the guests.

I took a quick peek inside Docking Bay 7. I have heard the food is pretty good here, I'll have to try it out sometime.

Here we are with our Blue and Green milks! I had heard mixed reviews about them, they definitely are interesting, probably not something I will want to get again and again. But they were really fun to try, my favorite was the blue milk.

V absolutely loved both of them! She finished all of them after we had all taken our sips and didn't want to drink anymore. And we all know Morty liked the green milk the best, after all it comes from her planet!
