Kuwahara Pumpkin Patch

After I got home from New Mexico, there were only a few days left of October and I needed to fit in as many festive halloween actives as I could before the month was over! I began by going to the most amazing pumpkin patch with the Madisons, and it was the perfect way to get into the halloween season spirit.

Kuwahara Farms is located in Draper, and they have created the funnest pumpkin patch experience.

There were three decorated greenhouses, full of lots of different varieties of pumpkins for sale

The fourth greenhouse was a zombie shooting range.

We purchased a bag full of neon paint balls and tried our hand at shooting the different targets, it was so much fun.

This was Monty's first halloween season!

Another greenhouse had been converted into a small haunted house that V was too scared to check out, so Reece took her to the blow up bouncy house area, where there were tons of bouncy houses for her to bounce between, she was in heaven. Beth and I wanted to check out the haunted house, and since Monty was strapped in the carrier on Bethy, he had no choice but to come with us. Turns out the haunted house was a lot scarier than we anticipated, and taking a baby into a haunted attraction is stressful. He had no idea what was going on, so he wasn't scared, but we were on edge that an actor was going to pop out of some dark corner and make us scream which would have then would have spooked Monty. There were only 3-4 rooms, and as we were entering the last room we could smell gasoline, and we had been to enough haunted attractions to know that meant a chainsaw guy was coming up. Bethy entered the room with her hands out stretched yelling, "I have a baby!!" over and over again, I was cry laughing watching this unfold, it still makes me giggle even now. The chainsaw guy still came at us, but only revved the chainsaw a couple of times and didn't even really get that close to us, but Beth never stopped yelling "I have a baby!!!" as she ran away.  Monty was still none the wiser, the chainsaw noises didn't scare him. After the house, the experience continued with  a haunted corn maze, but we said Nope! and jumped the rope and headed for the concession stand.

For snacks we got mini donuts, tamales and hot chocolate. We found a table and sat down to enjoy our yummies with a great view to watch the fun little halloween show that is put on a few times a night.

The show ends with a dance party we were all invited to, complete with smoke and bubble machines!

We ended the night with a quick stroll through their Once Upon a Time, carved pumpkin trail.

We had so much fun! By far the best pumpkin patch I have ever experienced!
