One of my favorite activities to do during the Christmas season is the Christkindlemarkt at This is the Place park. They do such a great job at transporting their guests to an authentic European Christmas market!
I go with Mom every year as a traditional mommy daughter date. It's so much fun to share this holiday magic with her each year!

Some of my favorite stalls are the food stalls that sell traditional German snacks and treats. We love getting these decorative gingerbread hearts every year.

I found so many adorable mini nativities this year
We stopped and watch this craftsman make his wooden tree ornaments for a while, it was mesmerizing. Mom ended up getting this little tree since we had watched how it was made from beginning to end.
One of my favorite stops is at the Gingerbread Cottage. They make the cutest decorated gingerbread cookies that are so soft and flavorful. I have gotten their take home mix before and it made amazing cookies!
We ended our day at the market with a smorgasbord of German delights.
Bavarian cheese appetizer with sweet pickles, bratwurst, and German goulash.
We also got a warm scone with honey butter and a cup of savory french onion soup, one of mom and my favorite dishes.
