After Monty's blessing, we all headed over to Mom and Dad's house for our annual white elephant gift exchange. It's always so fun to see the silly things everyone has been collecting all year for this event. It is full of giggles.
Mike was super excited to see a baby yoda cardboard cutout! He stole it from Mom, and I don't think she was that upset about it...

I got an art book that has a chubby ginger kitty inserted into all the famous masterpieces. Could there be a more perfect gift for me??? And I didn't even steal it, I picked it from the pile. It was fate.
By the end of the game, V and Grammy were already have a blast with her space kitty coloring book
And she was still just as excited about her magical owl-corn.
Then it was time to pop the corks and start poring the drinks. Dad always has a fun time picking out a variety of flavored Maritnelli's, the collection grows a little bigger each year.

Monty was our baby new year, he had the new year written on his diaper, but he didn't quite make it to the celebration ...

Staying up till midnight is just a usual night for the Johns clan, we are all night owls. So after we rung in the new year, we played games and did puzzles and talked about how 2020 was going to be the best year ever. We had no idea what was about to hit us....
2019 was a great year, I created so many happy memories!
