Monty turned two this year! He is such a spunky, hilarious little boy and it was so fun to celebrate him. Monty is currently obsessed with turtles. He has several turtle toys that he carries around everywhere, he loves watching turtle videos, and he can spot a picture of a turtle anywhere. So Beth threw him the most beautiful and fun turtle birthday party.
We started with opening some presents
I gave him a toy plane that came with a power tool and different parts you could screw in and out, he loved it!
Bethy got him a dancing robot, and Monty couldn't believe his eyes, he was so excited.
The Griffins got him this adorable fluffy spider. It's a heat pad so it smells like lavender and can be heated up or cooled down.
Then it was time for lunch! Beth had it catered from Costa Vida which was so delicious and so easy for prep and clean up.
Beth and Mom made a few special sides, mom made cucumber snakes and Beth carved a watermelon turtle.
For our activity, we had Wild Wonders come and she brought a snake, a bearded dragon, a skunk and the grand finale was a turtle!
Monty loved the snake.
Beth and I were obsessed with the skunk, she was so cute. Monty thought she was alright.

By the time Elliot the bearded dragon came out, Monty couldn't wait any longer, he NEEDED to see the turtle. So Elliot got passed around to all the other guests of the party, we all loved him, he is so chill and loves to be held.
Monty was ecstatic when the turtle came out!

Monty's dreams coming true
Sarah let Monty pick up and set down the turtle, several times. She said it was probably like being on a roller coaster for him, he was a really good sport. Monty was in heaven.

After we said goodbye to Sarah and all her wild wonders, it was time for cake!
Monty loves the happy birthday song and he was so excited to have us sing it to him.
He did his "oh my gosh, I am so excited" face the entire time we were singing.
Then came the best part, blowing out the candles! He kept asking to do it again, so we let him blow them out about 6 times.
Then we let him dig in. Beth wanted to give him another chance at a smash cake since his first birthday was during quarantine and he did his smash cake over zoom. He stuck his hand in a little big, but didn't go to town like we thought he might, he was pretty polite about it.

In addition to cake, we also served these adorable sherbet and candy turtles.
After dessert, we opened a few more presents and had a fun time enjoying each others company.
