I got to celebrate the 4th of July twice this year. Once on the Saturday before at Stadium of Fire, and then agin on the actual holiday with family.
When we went to Stadium of Fire, it had been raining most of the day and we were a little worried about the weather during the show. Fortunately, the weather cleared up right when we parked and started walking to the stadium. When we got to our seats, we were welcomed by a gorgeous sunset and a faint rainbow.
The show began with army parachuters flying into the stadium.
Next came parachuters with fireworks!
There were several other acts to begin the show, including Marie Osmond.
Then came the reason we got tickets this year, Tim McGraw!!!
His set list was like listening to a "best of" album. He played all the top hits that we know and love.
It was such a fun show! We were dancing in our seats and singing along with every single word.
Then it was time for fireworks!
We had third row seats and were right next to one of the towers that spouted fire. We were so close that we could feel the intense heat every time there was fire. We were so close and the fire was so hot that I'm surprised our eyebrows didn't get singed.
The firework show was spectacular!
We bought matching shirts to remember our amazing night.
We had so much fun!
A couple of days later, on the actual 4th, we had a BBQ dinner at Mom and Dads.
Then we headed over to the Griffins house for dessert and fireworks.
These two are best friends, their adorable relationship is one of my favorite things.
The Griffins had set up the most amazing glow stick craft table! There were so many glow sticks and lots of fun accessories to us to make awesome, glowing creations. The creative possibilities and the way everything was so perfectly organized instantly drew me in!
When it got dark enough, the firework show began!
The Griffin kids put on the show this year, and they made it super exciting!
We also got to see lots of huge aerial fireworks going off all around the neighborhood.
The glow sticks got real popular after the fireworks since it was dark enough to see them glow. It was so fun to see what fun things people created.
Mike is always the master and creating the coolest, wearable masterpieces.
We ended the night with sparklers!
