Boo Lights

This year we checked out a fun new halloween activity, Boo Lights at the zoo! We were blown away by the amount of lights and light displays! It was so much fun and such a cool, unique way to celebrate our favorite holiday.

As soon as we  arrived, we hopped on the train! Monty was in heaven.

There was fun halloween music being played all over the zoo through the  speakers, we danced down the walkways as we took in the spectacular lights.

A few of the animals were out and about, this lion came and hung out right next to us. He was gorgeous.

These monkeys were so sleepy, they were all trying to find comfortable sleeping positions.

They had created this magnificent Harry Potter themed maze. We came across several professors from Hogwarts as well as Rita Skeeter who was offering to take people's pictures for them in front of the dragon. The maze was actually pretty challenging, it took us a while to figure it out and we needed a  few clues to help us.

Go Hufflepuff! V and I are both puffs, and we think Monty could be one too. I could also see him in Gryffindor.

Lovingly petting a turtle skeleton

Professor Snape taught the kids a magic spell and they used it to open the last door of the maze.

It started sprinkling rain, not enough to be too much of a bother, but enough to create fun reflections of the lights.

This light tunnel may have been my favorite part, it was so magical, especially with the selection on the pavement.

We were excited to take a spin on the carousel This is one of my favorite carousels, it is full of so many cool animals.

V chose to ride the panda and I chose a tiger.

Beth found a turtle for Monty! His favorite animal!

On our way out, we stopped  by to visit the elephants

Each kid got to pick one souvenir from  the gift shop, V  chose a little vet kit and monty chose this stuffed alligator that is the same size as he is.

W loved this activity so much! We may need to add it to our list of things we do every year!
