Pinnochio Day

The next day we dressed up as characters from Pinnochio! Beth wanted to do a special dress up day for Monty's first visit to Disneyland because she did an Alice in Wonderland dress up day for V's first visit.
Monty was Pinnochio, Beth was the Blue Fairy, V was Figaro and I was Geppetto.

I chose to go as Geppetto because it was an easy costume to put together and I thought the mustache would be funny. However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized how similar Geppetto and I are. We are both single people who love their pets, especially our tuxedo cats, Dinah and Figaro are identical twins. We both have a Blue Fairy who brings magical kids into our lives who we love as much as if they were our own. So, Gepptto was the perfect choice for me and I loved dressing up as him, and the mustache was pretty funny.

Geppetto and his favorite little, kitty.

Beth worked so hard on her costume and it turned out so amazing! She looked beautiful.

After our cute little photoshoot, we obviously had to ride Pinnochio's Daring Adventure in our costumes! I would love to dress up as Cleo one day, she is such an adorable and underrated character.

Don't we look exactly like Geppetto and Figaro??

Our pinocchio pictures turned out so cute, but behind the scenes, there were some tantrums and tears. Sweet Monty was super sick and had a hard time being happy for photos in his costume, so it was a lot of physical and emotional work to get everyone happy and smiling in the pictures . So afterwards, we all needed a little pick me up, which included changing into comfy outfits, caffeine and churros for me and Beth, and bubble wands for the kids.

We got the churros from the cart next to Casey Jr., and they came with a special pumpkin dipping sauce, which tasted exactly like pumpkin pie filling. It was delicious, I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Later on we would try some pumpkin spice churros with a cream chees-y dipping sauce from Tomorrowland, which were not nearly as good. If you want a good pumpkin spice churro experience, regular churros, with pumpkin pie dipping sauce is the way to go.

After we had all taken a deep breath, had a little sit down and some churros, we were ready to roll. This is the reality of traveling in Disney, it's a rollercoaster of heightened emotions, we always expect to have ups and downs.

We let Monty pick which ride we did next and he chose Dumbo!
The new queue area is SO adorable and the perfect backdrop for magical pictures.

V and Monty used their bubble wands to entertain all the kids in line, it was so adorable to watch them look for other kids to cheer up with bubbles. They made the line so much better for so many people, bless their sweet, thoughtful, little hearts.

Monty was fascinated with the lever that made us go up and down, he played with it the entire time we were flying.

By now, we were ready for a big meal, we hadn't had breakfast yet! We headed to my favorite restaurant in all of Disneyland, Jolly Holiday!

The reason I come to Disney is to get a raspberry rose macaron and a matterhorn macaroon, they are a MUST! I was also really hoping to get the cookies and cream mummy mickey macaron, but they were out! (It would take me the entire week, but I would finally check that macaron off my list) So I got a delicious pumpkin muffin with cream cheese icing instead, another special holiday offering.

Another favorite thing to get here is the tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich combo, a match made in heaven.

V is a croissant girl!

After lunch, we headed over to the castle to get some group photos before nap time, we happened upon so many characters on the short walk over!

The Evil Queen fell down the stairs as she was leaving, when she got up she put a spell on all of us that we didn't see anything haha

Castle time!

Then we all headed back to the hotel for a nice, long nap!
