California Adventure at Night

After nap time, we headed over to DCA to see all the fun halloween decor lit up at night! They have moved Mickey's Halloween party over to this park instead of Disneyland, so they have really stepped up their  decorating game and they did such a great job.

We started the evening off at the Animation Building to do Turtle Talk with Crush for Monty since turtles are his favorite animal. We had a little time to spare before the next showing, so I always think it's fun to tour through the Sorcerer's Workshop and Beast's Library

On our way over to Carsland, we got to meet Pluto!

Carsland is my absolute favorite place when it is decorated for halloween, especially at night with all the fun purple and orange lights.

They way they have created all the decorations out of car parts and traffic cones is so creative, I love  it all so much.

We headed straight for the Cozy Cone to get some dinner and halloween treats.

I got their mac and cheese, the dreaded cold had been passed to me and I had a really sore throat, so some nice, warm, creamy mac and cheese sounded so good.

How can you beat a cone made out of bread filled with mac and cheese topped with bacon?

We were also SO excited to try their halloween macaron. It was filled with a ring of thick chocolate ganache, and the middle was filled with peanut butter and pretzels.

They were rich, decadent and unique, our favorite one so far!

The kids got to meet Vampire Mater! Monty was so excited until it was their turn, then he got really nervous. But he thought it was really cool afterwards.

These movie posters always make me giggle, I especially liked the Hocus Pocus one.

Next up, Luigi's Rollicking Roadsters!

Plotting which color of car they were going try for.

It took him a little bit, but by the end of the ride Monty was LOVING it!

Then we jumped on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, this ride is such a blast and is always full of laughs.

I got to ride with V and we both belly laughed the entire time as we took turns running into each other.

The kids were getting a little sick of standing in lines at this point, so we thought  we would take a relaxing stroll over to the boardwalk and look at all the fun lights.

We explored the Plaza de la Familia, it was so beautifully done. It was kind of nice visiting it at night, we were the only ones there so it was quiet and peaceful and we could take our time soaking in all the meaning of this special exhibit.

We spent some time admiring the large ofrenda, on either side of the alter, there was a place to write notes to loved ones that had passed. It was so sweet reading the loving messages, we all wanted to write one to Reece, but they didn't have the little papers out. So we whispered to him that we missed him and loved him and we think about him everyday.

There was a really pretty photo op where we could all have spirit guide wings.

When we strolled passed the Emotional Whirlwind, there wasn't any line! So we jumped on the chance to ride it.

I was excited to pop into Bing Bong's Sweet Shop to try some of the famed churro toffee. Toffee usually isn't my go to choice in a candy store, but I had seen so many Disney instagramers RAVING about it, so I just had to try it. Turns out it is DELICIOUS and will become one of my regular things I have to get whenever I visit the parks.

Twins!

Such a fun night :)
