Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party

After lunch and dessert in Disney Springs, it was time to head to Magic Kingdom for early entry to the Halloween party!!!!!!

While most people love Disney the most when it's all decorated Christmas, I love it the most when it is all decorated for Fall and Halloween. I was in heaven walking down Main Street in all it's autumnal glory.

This was the official entrance for us Halloween party goers, this is where we got our trick or treat bags and got our first chance to get some candy!

We wanted to keep our costumes simple and comfortable, we didn't want to spend too much time getting ready. So I went as Marie from Aristocats and Angie went as Madam Mim from Sword in the Stone, she had a pig nose she would put on every once in a while, people who understood the reference loved it.

My costume was incredibly simple, just the way I like it. It was more of a Disney bound than a full on costume, but I loved how it all turned out!

My earrings and necklace were pearls with itty bitty gold cat ears.

There were so many character meet and greets throughout the park, a lot of them were characters guests don't get to see very often, like Tarzan and Jane!

And Jafar!

For the first half of the party, we bounced between trick or treating and riding rides that had incredibly short lines.

Some of the food places in Magic Kingdom had special treats that were only available during the party, we tried out as many as we could. 6 hours just isn't enough time to ride all the rides, try all the treats and watch all the shows!

These were all so yummy!

We definitely had to make sure to ride the haunted mansion during the Halloween party!

It's always fun looking for Madam Leota's tomb in the graveyard, it you watch her closely her eyes will occasionally open, its so spooky cool.

Some of the rides have live actors added in during the halloween party, there are just so many fun, little details to soak in during this party! The haunted mansion had one of the ballroom dancing ghosts out front telling jokes and interacting with all the guests in line. It was such a blast listening to her. Another ride that has live actors is Pirates of the Caribbean!

As it got darker, the decorations just got better!

Some more fun treats we tried out was a spooky, madame Leota tart which had a vanilla tart shell filled with toasted marshmallow pastry crème and topped with crispy pearls, chocolate, and a hard candy garnish.

and this pomegranate-cherry gelée with gummy worms is topped with glow-in-the-dark boogie boogie meringue.

More fun character meet and greets!

The second half of the party was dedicated to watching all the amazing entertainment, fireworks, the castle show, and the special halloween party parade!

Happy HalloWishes: A Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular in the Sky was the firework show, it was loosely based on the Haunted Mansion attraction and includes vocal appearances by Disney Villains.

Pictures from the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular Castle show and Mickey's Boo to You Parade coming up in the next post!
