For Bethany's birthday, all the girls went to tea at the Grand America! It was such a fun evening out, the hotel was all dressed up for Christmas, and the food was amazing!
We started our meal with English scones accompanied by chantilly cream, raspberry jam and lemon curd. And an elegant berry and cream parfait.
Our server came and took our drink orders and poured us a glass of blooming flower tea to have as a centerpiece, its so fun to watch the flower "bloom" during the course of our meal.
We had a choice of a nice selections of teas or flavored hot chocolates. Jenny, Mom, and Karin ordered coconut hot chocolate which was rich and decadent, I ordered Chai tea which was perfectly spiced.
Then came our tea tray, laden with all sorts of savory and sweet delights. V's face captures how we all felt.
mini chocolate mousses and peppermint cream macarons.
Jam thumbprint cookies, soft, spongey madelines and mini lemon berry tarts
V got her very own plate of special sandwiches and treats!
V was so cute with her hot chocoalte, she loved how fancy everything was.
Everyone always has a good time when jenny is around.
The peppermint macarons were one of my favorite parts of the meal, they were perfect chewy and had the most excellent combination of peppermint and cream.
Then it was time for birthday celebrations!
They brought out a delicate and elegant, little dessert with a candle for the birthday girl!
Baby Monty also came to our tea party, Bethy was about 4 months pregnant at the time.
After our wonderful tea, we wandered through the hotel taking in all the exquisite Christmas decorations.
The courtyard was magical with all the trees lit up with millions of twinkle lights, we couldn't resist going out and enjoying them.
I love all of these wonderful women with all of my heart.
Happy Birthday Bethany!
