California Pink Tour: K Cafe & Capitola Beach

The last day of our Pink Tour started with our last gorgeously pink restaurant. K Cafe Patisserie and Teahouse serves Asian-French fusion cuisine and is such a beautiful place.

We ordered pink drinks to sip while we waited for our food.

I got the chicken and waffle benedict.

We got an assortment of pretty desserts to share.

Their outside seating is just as magical as their indoor seating. It was like a scene out of a fairytale, complete with horses and a carriage.

After brunch, we drove to Capitola Beach. This is an adorable beach town that is known for a row of brightly colored condos that sit right on the beach. The day we went parking was sparse and we had to park fairly far away and walk into town. We got beautiful views of Capitola Village and beach on our walk.

Monty looks like such a little surfer boy with his gorgeous, naturally highlighted locks.

As we were driving around looking for a parking spot, we noticed several ice cream shops which gave the kids a major craving for ice cream. So our first stop once we reached the village was to get them some ice cream cones.

I got a Gatorade because I was, surprise, feeling very sick. This was a different sick from The Sickness, it was tummy issues, dizziness, headache, just overall not feeling good at all. Beth asked what she could do to help me and I said find me a wheel chair so I could curl up in a ball but still participate in the beach town. I had to walk very slowly because I just felt so crappy. I don't know what caused this weird illness, we thought something at brunch didn't agree with my fragile tummy perhaps...? It's still a mystery, but the Gatorade helped a little.

The kids loved their ice cream!

Then we headed to the beach to find those cute condos.

I thought the seagull footprints in the sand were so adorable.

These condos are privately owned and some are permeant residences. Others often pop up on vacation rental sites, this would be such a cute place to stay some day.

After we had taken all our photos and explored, and we were getting ready to head back to our car, we met Nora.

Nora was the tiniest fluff ball I have ever met, she was a purebred show dog and stole all our hearts immediately.

Her owners were so nice and let us gush over her for a long time, they even let me hold her for a little bit.

She snuggled right into me, she was so sweet.

We met some other very sweet doggos on our way back to the car. Capitola Village is a great place to go dog watching/ meeting, they are everywhere.

We also passed by several gorgeous gardens. I loved this little beach town, it was so quaint and beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and the vibe was very laid back.

The sign of a good day.

The next day we packed up and checked out of our hotel. We had a later flight so we were able to grab lunch and have a picnic at a park while the kids played on a playground. Then we drove to the San Jose airport and flew home.

What a whirlwind this trip was with some major highs and some major lows. Traveling is always such an adventure!
