Montreal

The next day was the first official day of the tour, we took a tour of the city of Montreal. It is a beautiful city, but not too touristy so there wasn't too much to go see.  We began at a look out and saw a beautiful view of the entire city.

Then we headed to Old Montreal where we saw their cathedral, it's a beautiful building but since it was sunday we weren't allowed to go inside.  Then we took a stroll down their cute, narrow streets to Vieux-Port Steak house where we had a delicious lunch.  After lunch we bid farewell to Montreal and Canada and started on our way to Lake Placid, New York.

The drive was a couple of hours so we stopped a view times at view points to stretch our legs and enjoy the wonderful fall foliage along the way.

  1. Loved your picture of the river. You should print that out to take to class and draw or paint. It has good perspective with the river going into the distance, and the two big rocks anchor the foreground and are so amazing a glacier could move something that size along with it and deposit it at the end! Good pictures of Montreal, it gave a good feel for the city.
