Adirondack Museum

Today we began the journey from Lake Placid to Lake George.  The drive was beautiful, the leaves were on fire!  We stopped off at the open air Adirondack Museum, to learn more about the history of the area and to have a delicious fall lunch.

"With Blue Mountain rising behind it and Blue Mountain Lake sparkling below, the Adirondack Museum's vast campus features displays in 22 modern exhibition galleries and historic buildings. There are lush grounds and sweeping views. The exhibitions tell the unique story of the Adirondacks and its people. You will explore topics ranging from boating to logging."

Sweet potato, apple soup and pumpkin pie for lunch.

After our fun stop at the museum we continued driving down to Lake George.  We made one more brief stop at the beginning of the Hudson River.  It looks pretty different then the coursing, river you picture flowing through the big city.
