Dierks Bentley at the Chelsea Theater

When my country concert gals and I found out one of our favorite country stars, Dierks Bently, was playing a show in Vegas, we had no choice, we HAD to go! When looking at places to stay, we discovered a brand new, 4 star hotel that had just opened a couple months earlier, they were still spreading the word of their opening with discounted rates so we decided to check it out!

The hotel is called the Lucky Dragon and as fun as it was to try somewhere new, I wouldn't recommend it. There were quite a few things that I liked about it, but the location and a few other things about it won't bring me back for a second stay.

I loved the decor of our hotel room, it was beautiful and serene.

Our window was made out of pink glass, so it always looked like it was sunset, an interesting feature.

For dinner our first night, we checked out the Burger Bar in the Mandalay Bay. None of us had been there before and there were so many reviews raving about all the food, so we just had to see what all the hype was about.

They offer a variety of super fun milkshakes so we decided to get one for the table to share as an appetizer. We got a s'more milkshake and chose a glazed donut as our topping.

We each created our own burger masterpieces from their endless lists of options of buns, meats, topping and sauces. I got mine with brie, caramelized onions, and a red wine reduction sauce, it was pretty darn delicious.

For dessert we just had to try their s'more platter, you get to roast your own marshmallows at the table! There was no way we were going to pass that up.

The fruit was an unexpected, but delicious addition

The next morning I had the fun opportunity to meet up with Katie and Aubs who were in town for the BYU basketball championships, such an awesome coincidence. They introduced me to their favorite Vegas, breakfast spot, Babystacks.

Babystacks is famous for their amazing pancakes, they have so many flavors to choice from! I got the bananas fosters babystack and they were divine!

After breakfast, Katie and Aubs headed to a b-ball game, and Lex and I set out to find a free, open pool since the one at our hotel hadn't opened for the season yet. After checking a local rec center and the Golden Nugget which were unavailable for random reasons, we found ourselves at the Venetian. We were very happy to discover they weren't checking for hotel keys, so we walked right in and set up on a couple of their super comfortable lounge chairs. It was too cold to go swimming, so we enjoyed soaking up the rays.

Since we were at the Venetian, we swung by the Bouchon Bakery to pick up some of the best macarons on the planet. I got blueberry cheesecake and strawberry.

That night was the concert! It was at the Chelsea Theater inside the Cosmopolitan hotel, I loved this theater, it was small and had a metropolitan, edgy vibe.

We got GA tickets, so we could get as close to the stage as possible. We made it up to about the third row from the stage.

Cole Swindell opened for Dierks and was such a fun opener. I never listened much to his stuff before the concert, but I walked away a huge fan, he is super adorable and puts on a really fun show.

Then it was time for DIERKS!!!!! I loved only having one opener before the main event.

At the beginning of all his shows, Dierks invites a lucky fan on stage to shotgun a beer with him.  Dierks loves involving his fans in his shows, which is one of the reasons I love his concerts.

Dierks invited Cole back on stage to perform their new hit song, Flatliner. Best number of the entire show.

Dierks always crowd surfs during"Somewhere on a Beach". When he came to SLC last year, the dum dums in the crowd didn't catch him! I still think that is why he didn't include Utah in this tour... Vegas obviously knows how to catch a performer for a crowd surf, thank goodness.

I might go as fat as to say this was my favorite concert to date! It was So. Much Fun! The couple by us in the crowd, who we had made friends with, got engaged in the middle of the concert, he got down on one knee and everything. So, adorable and very memorable, for all of us.

The next morning I introduced Lex and Lu to Babystacks, their pancakes were just too good to not get them again.

This time around I got tiramisu pancakes which were smoothered with mascapone cream and dusted with chocolate. Lex got her all time favorite flavor, s'more.

After breakfast we packed up the car, and began the drive home. We made one stop before leaving Vegas, we had heard this little ice cream shop made delicious macarons, so we tried them out.

The store and macarons were definitely super fun and adorable, I mean look at that adorable teddy bear! However, I was disappointed in their taste and texture, they were stale and didn't have much flavor, so I wouldn't recommend them. But as always, it was fun trying out something new!
