2020 Road Trip: Henderson Airbnb

In the beginning of November, the Madisons and I planned a fun RV road trip. None of us had traveled anywhere for an entire year and we were so anxious to get out and do something fun and see some new things! Bethy had planned this magnificent RV trip with lots of fun stops and cool campsites with a couple of airbnbs mixed in. Come the day we were supposed to leave, the guy we were renting the RV from went out of town and was unable to teach us about the RV or give us the keys! What??! Needless to say, that threw a huge kink in our plans, but Beth, being the wonder woman that she is, planned an entirely new trip in just a couple of days.

The new itinerary still hit all of the major destinations, but this time we arranged to stay in three lovely airbnbs. The whole point of doing the RV was to try and stay as safe from Covid as possible, but we all still felt safe staying in these airbnbs. We would have groceries delivered to each location and ate most of our meals at home. We ordered take out a couple of times, but we never dined at any restaurants, so it was still pretty similar to the safety level we were hoping to achieve with the RV.

Our first destination was Henderson, NV. We stayed in this beautiful and fun little home, we really loved it here.

There were three bedrooms, so we had plenty of room for all 5 us to sleep comfortably.

The backyard was complete bliss. It had a pool and a fire pit and a pretty good view of the city lights at night.

We spent a lot of time just relaxing in our airbnbs throughout the entire trip, we had a couple of outing planned at each destination, but a majority of our time was spent hanging out together at home.

The chair swing was a huge hit, it was the perfect place to rock Monty to sleep. It was so comfortable!

V and I would take walks around the neighborhood in the mornings, Monty would occasionally join us.

We loved the palm trees in the front yard. They created a tunnel you had to duck under to get to the front door.

I would often sit by the pool in the afternoons while everyone else took naps, it felt so good to soak up the sun or watch the sunset. (I'm not sure what is up with the "Addi" written on the cement, I think it may have been from a previous renter. You couldn't really see it in person, its much more obvious in pictures)

One night we made s'mores over the fire pit which was really fun.

Monty was completely entranced by the fire.

We sure loved our Henderson home!
