Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point

We were on a roll with fun outings this spring! We had a lovely day at the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point, we were worried we might have gone too late and missed most of the flowers, but we actually hit it at a pretty spectacular time.

We rented a golf cart and it made the day so much more leisurely and relaxing, it saved us all from getting too tired, hot or cranky ;)

Monty really loved the golf cart, he was a happy boy with snack in hand whipping around in the back of the cart.

Monty really wanted a turn driving, so we let him pretend for a little while.

Such a happy, sunshiny girl

The umbrellas are always one of my favorite spots, they are so whimsical and fun.

The Secret Garden is another favorite spot, a visit to the gardens wouldn't be complete without a couple of moments in this beautiful, walled oasis.

Monty was enchanted with the fountain, and was overjoyed when we gave him a penny to throw in. He looked at us before plopping it in making sure it was really ok to drop it in the water.

Our last stop of the day was to feed the koi in the big pond. Mom was sweet and bought each kid a bag full of fish food when she got the entrance tickets. The kids were so excited, the fish seemed pretty full and didn't eat much of our food, I'm pretty sure they are fed all day long by guests. But we still had a really fun time watching the fish elegantly glide through the water. Monty kept commenting on how cute they were.

It was such a gorgeous day!
