Jenny and I made a delicious ebelskiver brunch complete with yummy hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. The different fillings that we tried were Nutella, jam with cream cheese and apple spice pie filling, oooh they were sooo good, obviously the Nutella ones were my favorite, I love Nutella, plus it brings back memories of eating it on croissants for breakfast every morning while I was studying in Rome.
After dinner it was game time, one of my favorite things to do with my family is play board and card games, they are always hilarious, unless we are playing Ticket to Ride or Settlers of Catan, then it is all business and super intense. Tonight we played Apples to Apples and Spoons, two of my absolute favorites! Every time we play Apples to Apples my dad always asks how to play like he has never played it before yet he always seems to dominate and win the game, very very tricky, he is one of the best people to play with, he really gets into it and it makes me laugh
We got so into our games that we had lost track of time! When we checked the clock we had 15 minutes until midnight!! So we rushed to get out our crystal goblets that we use every year on new years, its actually the only time we use them ... Then we filled them all with delicious sparkling apple juice and this unique pear sparkler, turned on the TV to watch the ball drop in New York City and began our countdown ...

After all the festivties Will made himself a massive luxurious bed on the couch and informed us all that he was going night night, goodness I can't get over how adorable that child is!

oh goodness I loved these pictures. I had fun in Canada but I sure missed our family on new years, they know how to have a good time and they are all so adorable and fun. I really like the card playing faces and Will looking at the sparking cider. haha.
