Albian Basin

In August my dad told me about some amazing wild flowers he had seen on his way to hike Cecret Lake up above Snowbird and Alta.  So after work one day I headed up there to see what all the hype was about.  It. Was. Amazing!  Huge fields just covered with all sorts of flowers all surrounded by lush green mountain sides, I felt like I had been transported to the Alps!  It was so fun to spend time taking pictures and frolicking through the beautiful wild flowers and just enjoy the amazing outdoors.

We attempted to hike to Cecret Lake ourselves but there was a thunderstorm rolling in and we didn't get very far on the trail when we decided it would be better to not get caught in the middle of mountain in the middle of a threatening thunderstorm.  We did find a furry little friend on the trail though!

The drive back down the canyon was beautiful, the clouds had cleared and it was that perfect time of day when the sunlight is radiant and golden.

    1. Hey David! No there isn't a trailhead, this was right next to the road, we just pulled over to take these pictures. I can't remember the exact location, but it is up passed Snowbird and Alta.
