Gideon's Bakehouse

On the day we left Orlando, we had a later flight, so we had some time between when we checked out of the  hotel and when we needed to leave for  the airport. Most of the family opted to relax in the hotel lobby. Nora and I really wanted to try out the famous Gideon's cookies from Disney Springs.

Orlando’s very own Gideon’s Bakehouse is best known for their ingredient rich, from-scratch "almost half pound" cookies that take over 24 hours to create. Getting one of these "dreadfully delicious" cookies isn't as simple as walking into a bakery and buying one. Getting into Gideon's is like getting into the hottest club in town, they only let a small number of guests in at a time. Nora and I got there pretty close to when they opened and we still had to wait in line, outside, for about half an hour.

They gave us little menus while we were in line, so that we could have our order ready when it was our turn in the store.

Next in line!

Inside the shop is an immersive  experience. Even though waiting outside in a line is a little bit of a hassle, limiting the amount of people in the store really does make it a much more magical experience when you are in there.

Two happy kids in a cookie shop.

In addition to getting lots of cookies to try, I also couldn't pass up trying their pumpkin chai cold brew. It was amazing, perfectly spiced.

Their packaging is gorgeous, totally my vibe.

I tried their classic chocolate chip and the limited time flavor, coffee toffee. The cookies were really good, they are absolutely ginormous and take a few days to eat. They were the perfect sweet ending to another fun Disney trip.
